StudySocial Safety
Share your week with people you trust. Stay in control of who sees it. When something feels wrong, report it or block them — in two taps, without them knowing.
Do something now
- Report someoneHarassment, threats, impersonation, spam — anything that breaks the Community Guidelines.
- Block someoneThey can't reach you, and you leave each other's friend lists. They aren't told.
- Blocked accounts & your reportsUnblock someone, or see the status of a report you sent.
- Contact StudySocial SafetySomething that doesn't fit a report, or a concern about someone else's safety.

Staying in control
Sharing your week is a choice
Friends see your classes, times and rooms only while sharing is on. Prefer they see just busy or free? Turn off “share details” and every block becomes “Busy.” Mark a commitment private and it's “Busy” too.
Privacy settings →Room numbers say where you'll be
A shared schedule with locations tells a friend where to find you. Keep sharing to people you actually know, and hide or remove anyone you're not sure about — they aren't notified.
Manage friends →Invite links can be passed on
Anyone who opens your invite link can add you as a friend, so share it in messages, not in public posts. Turning discoverability off means nobody can find you by username, only by your link.
Discoverability →You never have to accept
Requests from people you don't know can sit there or be declined. Someone who keeps trying can be blocked, and blocks are silent.

What happens to a report
- It goes to the people who run StudySocial, with the reason and anything you chose to add.
- The person you reported is never told who reported them.
- Outcomes range from nothing (if nothing broke the Community Guidelines) to a warning, restricted features, or removal.
- There is no moderation team on call, so we can't promise a response time. You can check a report's status any time.
If you're in danger
StudySocial is not an emergency service and nobody monitors it around the clock. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or your campus security first. Report to StudySocial afterwards so we can act on the account.
